The story of Spinmedia's Logo

1997

In 1997 Spinmedia was founded as a spin-off of Indra. Hence the origen of the company name and it's previous (10 years) and future activity in Multimedia.

And so we found ourselves saying and (having to clarify) : why the "s" had an english pronunciation and not the spanish pronunciation "ese" of spinmedia.

Our "spinito" made it's appearance which represents (according to some) that our work always has Communication as an ultimate goal with people, for people or between people. Even today when we are involved in what is known as IoT and M2M, where machines are connected, a person is at the end receiving data, reports, events or messages.

Straight away this logo started to adopt different shapes to reflect different uses.

2000

In 2000, maybe as a millenial effect and all the bewilderment getting over (without having shed any tears) the famous 2000 effect, we started to deploy a version which distanced us from the "spinito" icon which left us with just the head.

Finally we adopted an official and rather strange composition which combined the name, the remaning head and sashes whose colours defined a corporate use.

Then in 2003 we totally remodelled the brand. We created a new image based on the sweetness of an orange, so as to group together the values of communicaction, with the acidity of a lemon, to reflect the harshness of the technology which underpinned it, uniting them with a "+" to respresent the combination of values of these two intrinsic aspects of our activity: "To unite Technology and Communication".

And the icon carried on taking various forms of expression.

Subsequently in 2010 we started to simplify leaving us with just the name, initially accompanied by a simple phrase which later on was completely scratched, leaving just a commercial name.

Finally 2016, with clear sight of our anniversary in 2017, we decided to renew and update our image adopting a new type of logo which once again is joined by our original icon "spinito" which has been refreshed to reflect the times with a simpler style.
